What to include in a resin flooring enquiry

You do not need to know the exact resin system. Practical site information is more useful at the first stage.

  • Site location and postcode
  • Approximate floor area in square metres
  • Current floor material and condition
  • Traffic, machinery, vehicles and operational use
  • Oils, chemicals, washdown or food production
  • Required timescale or shutdown window
  • Photographs, drawings or existing specification
Site locationHelps establish coverage, access, travel and whether an initial survey is required.
Floor sizeExact dimensions are helpful, but rough measurements and photographs are enough to start.
Current conditionDescribe cracks, failed coatings, dust, oil contamination, uneven areas and damaged joints.
How the area worksInclude forklifts, vehicles, pedestrians, machinery, pallets, chemicals and cleaning.
ProgrammeTell us about shutdowns, weekends, phased access and the required return-to-service date.
Photos and documentsWide site photographs, close-ups, plans and specifications help identify the likely next step.

Questions before contacting SRS

Do I need to know which resin flooring system I need?

No. Describe the existing floor, how the area is used, the traffic, cleaning, contamination and timescale. SRS can then explain whether epoxy, polyurethane, PU screed, MMA or another route may be suitable.

What photographs should I send?

Send wide photographs showing the whole area, closer images of cracks, joints, coatings, contamination and damage, plus access points, drains, ramps or machinery that may affect the work.

Can I request a free flooring assessment?

Yes. Send the project details for first-stage advice. SRS will confirm whether further information, a site survey or a specification discussion is the appropriate next step.

Do you quote for projects outside South Wales?

Yes. SRS is based in Rhigos near Aberdare and supports suitable industrial and commercial flooring projects across the wider UK.

Can you work around a shutdown or operating site?

Phased, weekend or reduced-downtime working may be possible depending on preparation, access, curing and safe segregation. Include the available shutdown window in the enquiry.

Ready to discuss the project?

Include the project postcode, approximate floor area, current floor condition,
